About tree for 50

“Tree for 50” is part of the UAE Ministry of Interior’s AQDAR Khalifa Empowerment Program aimed at planting 50,000 mangrove trees in the UAE in celebration of the country’s Golden Jubilee.

Rotary Clubs in the UAE are invited to participate in this nationwide campaign by planting mangrove trees in the Al Zorah Nature Reserve of Ajman.

The planting would be done by Rotary Club UAE members as part of its volunteer s engagement and UAE community service strategy.

The mangrove trees will help protect the coastline of the UAE, serve as breeding grounds for marine life and birds as well as sequestrate CO2.

This environmental campaign is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 12, 13 and 15.

Rotary Goals Alignment

Enable all UAE Rotary Club members and their families to participate in a bespoke mangrove planting and nature tour.

The project is perfectly in line with Rotary’s area of focus ‘Environment’

Hands-on way to take action through service

Mangrove Planting Experience

Our customized 3-hour Mangrove Planting and Kayaking experience can be in the morning or late afternoon into the sunset.

Large groups and multiple events can be accommodated, and family participation is encouraged!

The package includes an educational workshop at Al Zorah Nature Reserve, followed by planting one mangrove per participant.

Concludes with a kayak tour of the mangrove coastline.

Al Zorah Nature Reserve is a convenient 40-minute drive from downtown Dubai.

For every mangrove planted in the UAE, Impact Adventures will plant one in Africa
